Are you filled up?

This post was written several months ago, looking for just the right picture, in the process it some how got deleted. So frustrating, but what’s a woman to do? I can always give it another go. So the issue I want to address here is: what are you filled with?
We can all be filled with many things; people, merchandise, money, and fame etc… but what about you? We as human beings have an emptiness inside, and we will all try to fill that emptiness with something! So what is it going to be?

The Word of God says, “We are to be filled with the Spirit.” I believe the Word is saying, The Holy Spirit. Sometimes we forget how important the Holy Spirit is in the daily life of a Christian! The Holy Spirit was given to us upon making a profession of Faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior. We are to be filled with wisdom & guidance as we journey through our new life. When Jesus left to ascend to the Father he didn’t leave us here by ourselves. He gave us his Spirit to live in us. How wonderful to have such a gift. We never walk alone, the spirit is always available 24/7, and 365 days a year, day or night! So, if the Holy Spirit comes in why don’t we call upon him in our time of need?

We still have some left over programming from our life before salvation. It will rise up without any effort. This can put you in a predicament! We have to be conscientious enough to focus on God and, here’s the word we don’t like. Are you ready, it’s humility. Asking God to fill us with what we need in the moment can be hard for the prideful. It is a requirement that we surrender our way of doing and thinking about life so that we can be filled up with the one who knows what you need. We kind of have to get out of our own way and let him lead & guide. Let’s remind ourselves, He’s God and WE are Not!

So let’s step back when you’re up against the wall and ask to be filled in the moment with all that we need. The Father is looking for a heart of humility and a sincere desire to follow him. It’s okay to ask for the desire to follow him. God always answers prayer that lines up with His Word!!
